    January 25, 2017
As part of a Centre Term course on Economic Policy, the Economic Development Partnership worked with Centre students to develop research and papers on local economic development in the Boyle County region. This week, Patten Mahler’s students made their final presentations at City Hall. Topics included how to strengthen our workforce, create job opportunities, and bolster local and non-local visitors to our county and historic main street districts.  Each of the EDP partners had a small group of students to work on a designated project. The Chamber’s project is “What are the main issues affecting workforce supply?” and the students focused on early childhood education. The title was "Low Risk, Common High Return:Investing in Early Childhood Education" by Centre students Ian Johnson, Hans Stromberg and Hensley Traughber.  Read this and all reports here.
