The Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce will have Business After Hours at Bluegrass Community Bank on Dec. 12. Bluegrass Community Bank opened for business on March 11, 2009, and was the first bank chartered in the State of Kentucky in almost three years. The Bank is the result of a vision of a group of local business and community leaders who saw the need for a locally based, locally focused, community bank. Armed with their vision of a new bank for this community the group moved forward by successfully completing the chartering process including raising more than $9 million in new capital to open the bank. The bank's shareholders all have ties to the Central Kentucky market area and are committed not only to the success of the bank but the community as well. The stockholders commitment to this area is evidenced not only by their investment in the bank but also by the banks investment in the community through new facilities and technology to better serve its customers.
Come out, learn more about the bank; meet the staff; and enjoy refreshments and fellowship. This is a networking opportunity, so bring your business cards!
