A Wealth of Special Events
This community likes to celebrate—its heritage, its patriotism, its music and arts, and its agricultural roots. Activities, clubs, service organizations, special interest and support groups, church activities, art exhibits, plays, jam sessions, performances, and regular running or biking meet-ups, provide ample ways to get together and pursue your interests. For a truly unieque experience, there's "Poetry Reading Day" or the "Outhouse Blowout," at Penn's Store.

Below are a few regularly held celebrations and signature events. For a complete list of community events with dates and times, refer to the Convention & Visitors Bureau.
