Danville/Boyle County Chamber of Commerce
Founded in 1919 by a handful of prominent businessmen, it has become the primary pro-business organization led by men and women who represent a cross section of business constituents. As evidenced by the breadth and depth of award-winning and recognized programs, activities, and community events outlined within these Web pages, the Chamber has been and is an integral part of this community’s success story.
Several current community organizations originated as committees within the Chamber, including the Heart of Danville, Tourist Commission (now the CVB), and the Great American Brass Band Festival. First organized by the Chamber in cooperation with Centre College in 1990, the GABBF has become the community’s signature event. Its success is also attributed to community-wide support, the efforts of scores of volunteers, and the leadership of the community’s own Advocate Brass Band.

Heart of Danville
This nonprofit group focuses on organization, design, promotion, and economic restructuring of downtown Danville. Originally funded as a Main Street Program, the organization coordinates events to support an active central business district, seeks grants for beautification and development projects, works with potential new businesses to find appropriate spaces, and represents the interests of its members and the community as a whole. Guided by a volunteer board of directors, Heart of Danville sponsors downtown activities and seeks prospective businesses.

Boyle County Industrial Foundation
Directed by representatives from local industrial and financial sectors, the organization works with local governments and state agencies to recruit and maintain a healthy mix of manufacturing and other jobs for the area.

and Visitors Bureau
To assist prospective visitors and tour planners, the CVB markets the community as a destination through advertising, trade shows, and the distribution of visitors guides and maps.
